About Us

Verity Academy East Bay is both a PSP (private school satellite program) and Homeschool Support Group established during the spring of 2019 to provide a means by which parents in California, especially in the East San Francisco Bay Area,  could fulfill their God-given rights and authority in the rendering of an education to their children. Our mission is to encourage, support, and assist private, home-educating parents and to facilitate a community of families who are endeavoring to provide an excellent, individualized, Christ-honoring, Biblical education to their children.  Most of our gatherings take place in and around Livermore and the Tri-Valley area. Our community of families, prior to 2019, existed for 26 years as Celebration Academy.  We switched from being the minsitry branch of a local church to being an independent non-profit, but we have the same mission and purpose which have now carried on for 28 years.  

We have an affidavit on file with the Alameda County Superintendent of Schools and are a private school in the state of California. We serve independent study students, thus exempting them from compulsory public education. Students enrolled in grades 1-12 are allowed to complete a course of study by the means of our Private School Satellite Program (PSP) in which the school provides oversight, counsel, a support network and record keeping, while the parents provide the individualized curriculum, grading criteria, educational direction, direct instruction and supervision of their own students.

The support and activities which are offered through Verity Academy East Bay are all in an effort to fulfill this mission. We place a high value on Faith, Family, Freedom and Friendship and we have three membership options available to facilitate these. It is the vision of the board members that everything we do be motivated by our gratitude to and love for God and our passion for making private homeschooling possible. Our long-term vision and desire is to see each family member grow in having the character traits of Jesus: serving each other with honesty, integrity, excellence, compassion, grace, humility, generosity, good stewardship and care.
